There should be an option in the clinic setup that lets you choose wether or not we want to allow patients to check in on the kiosk until after a copay is made for clients with a documented copay.
Our clinic is interested in utilizing the self check-in kiosk to allow our patients to check themselves in, and to free up our front desk staff. However, the biggest obstacle we have with this is the current inability to take copayments, or at least prompt patients to check in at the front desk if a copay is required. I would suggest an option to either enter in credit card info to take the payments if possible, or else even a pop-up that would prompt the patient to visit the front desk prior to allowing them to check in. The copay requirement pop-up could be manually set when entering in patient demographics, but would need to require action prior to actually allowing check-in.
I would like for an option to be on kios check in that their stored credit card with be charged a specified amount (already set in system under profile) when they check in.
It would be very nice to be able to have a notice to patients on the kiosk when they check in that they need to see the receptionist/ billing clerk to collect copays. We have so many patients that come in and check in and sit down after visiting the kiosk and tehn I have to call them back up to collect their copay. It would also be a great idea for the future if they would be able to pay payments from the kiosk as well.
