Allow me to do a quick discharge for patients that were referrals so that we can keep a record of them even though they never finished the intake process.
Please can you have all patients that are in the "REFERRALS" category have the ability to be discharged without the need to schedule them first to make them ACTIVE.
It's a ridiculous step to have to do if the patient ends up not being suitable but you haven't yet scheduled them.
Thanks.
We currently can not discharge a referral from the system. Therefore, we have to make up an appointment and then discharge. This method is inefficient and time consuming. We would like to see any option were the referrals can be discharged while still maintaining their records under files and case notes.
This is a top request for our clinic. We currently have to go make an appointment, then go to the doc list, THEN we can do the quick d/c.
It would be helpful to be able to d/c from the referral list w/o deleting patients, so we can keep the referral and all the notes in the case notes.
Example, pt is referred, we answer questions and they want to wait for whatever reason. Then over time, they either don't call back or don't need therapy. We still want all their info in case the referring provider asks what happened or the patient is upset "we never called."
Discharge patients from the referral list without deleting them completely. The reason being, we put in case notes about conversations with the patients. If they don't end up scheduling, we want to have a record that we tried to contact them or that we had a conversation with them.
Would love to discharge a referral without having to "make up" an appointment. Some other systems have an NTUC option, which means "not taken under care" --but leaves all of the notes available to re-open in the future if needed.
We need to be able to discharge a patient that is showing up as a referral however that is not an option. We don't want to delete them completely because then we would lose records of receiving the referral, the attempts to schedule them and letters to the physician that they were unable schedule.
