Trigger authorization deduction by appt. status change

Right now, the authorization deducts when charges are submitted from the daily note. However, sometimes it takes our therapists some time to complete their notes. Have the visit deduct when the appointment is checked-in so I have a more accurate picture of how many visits are remaining in an authorization.

Have the authorizations count down from when the Visit has arrived, not when a therapist completes their daily note. That would be a much more accurate way to know how many sessions a client has left. If a therapist does not have the paper work up to date then the count is not up to date. This is a big flaw in the authorization count down. Please change!

I very strongly urge you (honestly beg you) to make the authorization trackers based on the appointment check in and NOT the daily note being posted for that date of service. Naturally with a full caseload, I have clinicians that are behind on documentation. Unfortunately, I have clinicians that get multiple dates of service behind on posting notes, meaning auth trackers may be skewed by multiple dates, and thus not prompting me to submit timely until the notes are finally posted. Most EMR deduct when appointment is marked checked in/active, so I hope this would be a welcome/understandable change. Thank you for taking the time to consider my request! Visit Limit Count Down- If the counter would deduct the visit at the time of check in, instead of when the note is complete it would allow us to track the visit limit easier since the therapist sometimes take a few days to complete the note.

The payer authorizations tracker is only triggered when the document has been signed off. We would like a change to have the payer authorizations tracker to be reflected when an appointment is checked in. We have noticed when documentation is behind, the authorizations tracker does not reflect actual visits left. For example an authorization has 5 visits left, but documentation is behind by 2 weeks, and thus the patient only has 3 visits left, rather than 5.

It would be great if the visit count did two things: 1. Once the authorization has been input, it would show up on the calendar. 2. Once a patient is checked in it uses a visit from the count, not once the note has been submitted. Thanks!
