It is extremely tedious to pull information like claim denial reasons over a period of time, or from a specific service, or from a specific payer. This is an important metric to be able to monitor and it's not cost-effective to do so for us. A report that shows all denial/adjustment codes and remarks would be very welcomed.
Traditionally, we have the habit of doing an exhaustive quarterly account review and as the client base has grown, these reviews have been taking up an inordinate amount of manpower. We have put together a custom report using an existing template under Legacy-Reports-Billing-Claims but without the PR1 field the report is useless to our exercise.
