We currently have to use a 59 modifier for patients who see multiple disciplines on the same day. We cannot set a payer rule for the modifier as its use is dependent upon the schedule, not the payer. Because Fusion has no way for therapists to add the 59 with their billing, it is getting forgotten and our claims are getting rejected. PLEASE add a way for therapists to input modifiers in their billing!
Allow therapists to include modifiers in their billing. We have lots of kiddos who have both OT and PT on the same day and they both bill 97530. As the office manager, I have to remember which kids these are so that I can add the 59 modifier so we get paid correctly. The therapists are used to doing it themselves for kids that are multi disciplined.
There needs to be a place on the daily notes for the therapist to check/document if therapy is habilitative and needs modifier 96 or if the therapy is rehabilitative in which we would continue to use modiers GN, GO and GP
There needs to be a place in the daily note that therapists can check if a service was delivered via teletherapy services that would prompt the teletherapy modifiers just like the modifier 59 prompt.
